Magnifier
Pressing ` key (single back-quote, found to the left of the "1" key on most US keyboards) will display a Magnifier window that will show a 100% zoom view of any image or thumbnail under your mouse cursor. This is a great way to judge sharpness and detail of thumbnails, or when adjusting sharpness or noise reduction while viewing an image at less than 100% zoom.
In the example on the right, the cursor is hovering over the street sign in the Preview Panel, and the Magnifier is revealing that this was shot on South Congress Av in Austin, Tx.
